Eagle's Nest Ministries Dissolution Effective January 31, 2012

Hello everyone,

Rev. Lee and I have some very important news to share with all of you. Sometime last year the Holy Spirit began showing us that the direction in our personal ministry life would be changing, and that we would need to focus our energy and time in order to do the Lord's work well, with excellence and with our whole heart. The Holy Spirit began showing us that we had been spreading ourselves too thin and were becoming divided in our directions. The Holy Spirit continued to encourage us that we needed to regroup by focusing our attention on a new direction for our lives and local church ministry. We came to believe that we needed to shift our focus from overseeing two ministries (ENM and GPWCNOLA) and funnel our time and energy into one. As we all know wearing too many hats can leave us unproductive and burnt out. We have "been there and done that" and did not want to go there again.

Rev. Lee and I and the Eagle's Nest board have recently made a very difficult decision concerning Eagle's Nest Ministries. After months of prayer and deep conversations, Lee and I felt led of the Lord to dissolve Eagle's Nest Ministries. This was an extremely hard decision for all of us to make. I must admit I do not understand all the reasons why the Lord would have us do this, but I trust God will make it clearer as time goes by. I know this news is very disappointing for many of you.

We are bitter-sweet about this but we know without a doubt that the season for the organization of ENM has come to a close and it has served its fruitful purpose in so many lives.

We are excited about what God is showing us for our future ministry and are refocusing our time and energy into our ministry of restoration and worship through our local church - The Gathering Place Worship Center, NOLA.

We will continue having open conferences and events through our local church ministry here in New Orleans as well as ministering at other churches and conferences as the Holy Spirit leads.

Rev. Lee and I love and appreciate all of you who have supported us, our vision and the ministry of Eagle's Nest. But do not mistake this for a goodbye or our final work in some way. We are planning to continue in our calling to 'soar and restore' and grow the Saints of God through teaching and training in worship and leadership as we have always envisioned.

There are so many other reasons why this makes sense for us, including some medical reasons both of us need to take time out for. I thank you all for understanding how difficult this is for us. Please keep us all in prayer as we go through this process of letting go.

Lee and I look forward to 2012 and the years ahead, continuing to minister the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have a fresh excitement about new opportunities for ministry and growth, both personally and in God's church.

In God's love and grace,
Rev. Yolande and Rev. Lee

About Us

Partners in ministry and partners for life, Rev. Lee Thompson and Rev. Yolande Yaeger are the co-pastors of The Gathering Place Worship Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. Lee and Yolande planted their first church together in Covington, Louisiana where they ministered for 5 years before being called to Long Beach, California. Then, in January 2004, they responded to the Lord’s call to Austin, Texas. They are the founders of The Gathering Place Worship Center in Austin, TX. Rev. Lee and Rev. Yolande continue to preach and teach at various conferences, revivals, and local churches. In early 2004, they incorporated "Eagle’s Nest Ministries".

With a heart and call to see new life and restoration happen for the churches and individuals in our community, Rev. Lee Thompson crosses denominational lines to prophetically preach and teach in various churches, conferences and ministry schools across America. She has a vision and passion to train and equip the next generation of leaders and pastors emphasizing truth, authenticity and genuineness in life and ministry.

Rev. Yolande Yaeger is the founder of the Ascending in Worship Conference in Long Beach, CA and Eagles’ Nest School of Worship and the Arts in Austin, TX.
